The white stain is caused by the milk the baby drinks. If at all you must clean, cotton wool dipped in clean and ordinary water is fine.There is nothing good about salt for a baby.

If the whitish stain does not come off easily or leaves raw areas when forcefully removed, that may be oral thrush and should be seen by a doctor. Milk stains come off very easily when wiped with soft cloth or face towel dipped in water

No don't use SALTY WATER. PLAIN WATER with clean cloth is what the Dentists recommend
