Dr. Ayeni started her medical career upon graduation from the college of health sciences, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in 2002.
She qualified as a fellow of the West African college of surgeons in October 2014 having satisfied her examiners at the part two examination, faculty of obstetrics and gynecology where she emerged the best candidate for the particular examination.
Dr. Omotayo is also an associate fellow of the national postgraduate medical college of Nigeria.
She has a certificate of training in minimal access surgeries from life specialist institute Nnewi in collaboration with world laparoscopic hospital, India.
Dr Ayeni served in Obafemi Awolowo university teaching hospitals Ile-ife, Bayara general hospital Bauchi, Bauchi state specialist hospital now Abubakar Tafawa Balewa teaching hospital, medical reception center, Directorate of army mapping and survey. She had her residency training at the University of Ilorin teaching hospital, Ilorin.
She is an editor for the rule of thumb in obstetrics and gynecology, a publication of the Nigerian Christian medical and dental students, Ilorin chapter.
