My almost 9months old baby has been coughing for some days now. She also won’t eat and has a fever. I have taken her to the clinic and she was said to have tonsillitis and was given ceftriaxone injection and phenoxymethylpenicillin syrup and also paracetamol syrup....... before going to the clinic I had just started her on a non-sedating cough syrup (prospan) that’s suitable for 0-1yr according to the packet and the pharmacist. So my question is can I continue using the cough syrup as well or the medications given at the clinic is also for cough? (This night she was coughing really heavily, though I’ve only started using the antibiotics yesterday)

Now, since the child has been properly diagnosed by the doctor and necessary medications prescribed, strictly follow the doctors prescription. Do not add or remove from it without consulting the Doctor
