Why Carrot Puree?

Carrot Puree Preparation: 5 Mins | Cooking time: 30 Mins
Scrape outer layer of the carrots and wash well.
Place in a pot add water just to cover the carrots slightly and allow to steam.
Make sure it steams covered for about 20 minutes or until it is very tender.
Remove carrot from pot and reserve the cooking liquid in the pot.
4, 5, 6 and 7 Months: Puree carrot in a food processor/blender; and blend until smooth, adding some of the cooking liquid from the pot, 1 tablespoon at a time, till it reaches the desired consistency.You
might want to strain out the liquid using a sieve if the puree isn’t smooth enough.
8 Months and above: Mash cooked carrots till mushy, no need to strain.
Storage:
It freezes easily. You can freeze several batches in icecube trays, one cube should be enough for a start and later on, when baby has started eating more, defrost two to four cubes in a cup and spoon feed.
Ingredients: About 6 baby carrots will do
How much per day: Begin with 1 teaspoonful; Increase to 1 tablespoon twice a day; Increase to ¼
Cup or on demand.
