It's tough for both parents and kids when a child struggles with anger. Some children grow frustrated easily. They blow up over seemingly minor events. They yell. They might even become aggressive. Here are what an angry child needs to hear:

Tell the child they have your attention, acknowledge the child's feelings

Demonstrate compassion; it's an opportunity for deeper connection

Tell the child it's okay, make them feel comfortable.

Tell the child how much you love him / her, create a safe environment, it depeeens connection, builds trust and demonstrate unconditional love

Tell the child you are present, demonstrate resilience and patience
