Hmm, good morning Docs and mum in the house. A very new experience am getting to know. I am typing this at exact 4am. Since 10pm previous night my 5days old baby has been sucking, non stop. Pls experience mum, is this normal? Thanks in anticipation.

I don't think is normal o,if u are lactating well between 2hours sucking,your baby should be full.u can use breast pump to see the quantity of ur breastmilk.just saying tho.

Not normal. U r not lactating. Press ur areola hard. If breast milk squirts out immediately u r lactating. If it dsnt,you are not or If u hv to press 3-4x bfr it comes out, u r not o. Increase fluid intake. Oats will help a lot. pap works too but I prefer oats. Its a galactagogue. Depends on which u prefer btw pap & oats. All d best
