Like all good stories, ours begins once upon a time. 2011 to be exact – in Nigeria where our founder Unyime Samson, a stay-at-home mum herself spotted a gap in the market for quality, fashionable yet affordable kids wear. This vision prompted our founder to pull little resource together and start selling from the boot of her car! Successful sales and the positive response from the teeming customers birthed our first brick and mortar store in 2012. The store was located in Kaduna State, and started operations September the same year.
Early 2014, we started experimenting with our online store www.bumblebees.com.ng to test the viability of an online kids wear store in our clime. Sadly a sudden relocation in February 2015 led to the forced shut down of our thriving physical and online stores.
Because of its unique vision, bumble bees currently source for clothing and accessories from only brand name stores in the UK and in the US.
