We are deeply passionate, close-knit and doggedly committed to maintaining an environment that inspires young children to love learning and love life. We eat, sleep and breathe developing the highest potential in our children. With such great team passion, and our children's vast potential, possibilities are truly limitless! The Toddler Tree Educational Consultancy and then its Nursery School were created in 2003 and 2011 respectively by Fadekemi Olumide-Aluko, a lawyer turned passionate educator. Raising her own children in Nigeria gave her valuable insight into the gaps within the Nigerian educational industry with regard to qualitative early years educational provision; and in 2011, The Toddler Tree School was founded as an answer to these deficiencies. In the Montessori environment, the teacher is known as the 'directress', as she has the special privilege of guiding the child's mind and energy to focused activity within a very carefully planned and lovingly tended environment. She daily observes her children, utilises their individual strengths and directs them to independent learning and developing self-discipline. At The Toddler Tree, all our directresses have internationally-accredited Montessori early-childhood education degrees. Their interactions with the children are very frequently individual or small group based. They take pride in their craft and value the important position they hold as major influences in the emotional, language, intellectual, social and physical development of our children.
