CHILDREN'S EARS DO NOT NEED
CLEANING BY YOU. THE WAX COMES
OUT BY ITSELF AND IT IS SELF-
CLEANSING. IF YOU THINK THE WAX IS
TOO MUCH. SEE THE DOCTOR TO
REMOVE THE WAX BY EAR SYRINGING

you need to take your baby to see an ENT doctor so that the pus can be collected and checked to know how to treat it as we do not prescribe drugs on ATP. Please keep the ear dry and clean and take your baby to the hospital.
How can I treat pus coming out from 8 weeks baby hear?
Firstly, Do not use cotton bud in cleaning the children's ears. You can try placing a few drops of mineral oil, baby oil, glycerin, or commercial drops in the ear. Detergent drops such as hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide may also aid in the removal of wax. If the home treatments discussed in this leaflet are not satisfactory or if wax has accumulated so much that it blocks the ear canal (and hearing), a physician may prescribe eardrops designed to soften wax, or he may wash or vacuum it out. Occasionally, an otolaryngologist (ear, nose, and throat specialist) may need to remove the wax using microscopic visualization.
If there is a possibility of a hole (perforation or puncture) in the eardrum, consult a doctor prior to trying any over-the-counter remedies. Putting eardrops or other products in the ear with the presence of an eardrum perforation may cause pain or an infection. Certainly, washing water through such a hole could start an infection.
I just noticed pus coming from my 16 months old baby's ear. He cried all night from the pain. What can be done?
Your baby has ear infection. Kindly take him to see a doctor for further evaluation. A laboratory test i.e culture of the ear discharge will be done so as to know the causative bacteria and appropriate antibiotics to treat it.
