There are lots of causes of low glucose level (hypoglycemia) in a neonate.. Ranging from maternal to fetal causes.. The commonest maternal cause is diabetes in pregnancy and commonest.. For fetal cause is prematurity. Causes are peculiar in each cases. U should ask the pediatrician that managed your baby for the cause of the hypoglycemia
