Both Postinor-2 and postpill are emergency contraceptive. Not intended as a regular method of contraception and they are both effective if taken not more than 72 hours after unprotected intercourse. Please note that both Postinor-2 and Postpill will not prevent you from sexually transmitted diseases.
It depends and it's very relative. Typically your next menstrual period may come on time. But atimes, it may be either be early or late but shouldn't be more than one week late . If your next period is more than 1 week late, or if it is unusually light, perform a pregnancy test. If you do not have a menstrual period after 3 weeks of taking Postinor-2, you may be pregnant.
The manufacturer recommends that Postinor-2 tablets should be taken as; first tablet as soon as possible, while the second tablet should be taken 12hrs after the first one.
