If it is mucus.... Whitish... Just clean with cotton wool dipped in clean water or Saline water. Most eye discharge are due to viral infection. Do ensure your baby is seen by a paediatrician or an ophthalmologist for diagnosis and management.

It is nothing if it doesn't happen frequently but if it does it could be allergy, you need to see an ophthalmologist for further evaluation treatment.
