Abeg simple steam inhalation will help. Buy silver bird and add few drops in the hot water. Also message his back and chest and be rubbing children menthol and be giving him vit c everyday plus black seed oil. That is what i do for my kids. I don't give dem medication for cough.

I took him to d nearest health center where he was prescribe lonat,tribinat,ibuprofen and otrivine children nasal drop I pray it work for him... Tnx all am very grateful God bless....

Here's my advice due to experience hot water massage and bath rub kernel pomade all over body drop some few drops d head d part that breaths some drops in the noise then finally get silver bird oil by d side of his collar or shirt add some few drops make sure he's properly covered & away from fan or AC all this will give him d magic touch that u seek.

Steam bath will help, add the menthol in a hot water n let your baby inhale the steam, the process can be fussy cos of your so be careful with the hot water.
