It may be due to exposure, I also had similar experience and I was prescribed B'co and vit c, 2.5ml 3x daily.

How severe is the cough? You may want to check in with a doctor to listen to the chest, if it's clear, antibiotics will do just fine, even if it isn't- so you don't have to worry too much.
