Hello mothers and Doctor in the house, is it compulsory that one must go for 6weeks check up after delivery. And what is the advantage of it pls

@Triciakeys, I usually use general hospital n they do check babies n mothers. Even private part.

It's very necessary as others have said. They will also check your baby's weight to know if he's gaining weight accordingly. The doctor will also check your wound if you have any to know if it's healing well

Most private hospitals don't really check mum n child. I wasn't physically examined,my boy wasn't either. Was just told that I'm OK just from looking at me. Now we r 10weeks should I still go to b checked? I feel fine though...

Very important. To b sure the mother's womb is back to shape, see there is nothing wrong with the Virgina,the baby will b checked especially if it's a boy,they will check if d penis is well cut.

Yes it is, for them to know that everything is in normal position, like me it was when i went for post natal that they discover that i have retain products and they do evacuation for me with immediate effects. Adding been i don't go do you know what it means
