Hello Esther. The worrying symptoms in babies are high fever, refusal of feeding or not gaining weight and irritability or excessive inconsolable crying. If your baby is not experiencing any of this, you can try first to give a gentle cough syrup, throat could be irritated. See a doctor for the lip peeling for reassurance. Cheers.

That could be sign of dehydration. Please ensure he takes enough water, then always give him Vitamin C or orange.
