Good morning Docs and mummys in the house. My baby is 1week and 3days Old. Some friends advice that i give my baby Ampiclox oral drops(ampicillin/cloxacillin) claim they usually give them at d hospital , but my hospital didn't give us any drugs for my baby .Pls advice me,Secondly, i noticed some rash Pus on her fore head two days after delivery when i complained at d hospital i was asked to leave it that it will clear by it self, but now its allover her body. Pls what do i do?

For d ampliclox it depends dear, check ur baby eyes if it white and if is not u can use. Also ampliclox en zinnat suspension are advised to use for baby either for 3or 7days just to prevent dem

@Dr Dara the rashes has some white pus, just like (ripped boil) but very small , and its spreading allover her body, it started with her fore

When I gave birth to my baby, antibiotic was given bcos my baby hv small jaundice but after two days I was asked to stop it, so if ur baby is ok, he didn't need any drug and for the rashes, use olive oil to rub him after bathing, it will disappear
