Pls mothers in the house my son is just 7days today..but noticed yellow eyeballs n skin yday...d dr said hes having jaundice.we r bin admitted now.pls

It depends on her bulirubin but i believe it isnt dat high.she will be fine dnt worry.pls mother wheneva we give birh before we leave d hospital let us request for our babies to be checked if dey r free from jaundice dat is after d 3rd day of birth.it is usually noticed the 3rd day or 4th day afta birth.if we detect early it is safer and cost effective for us.cos severe cases causes blood transfusion.pls you can alsobplace ur baby under earlymorning sun it helps a lot.

It happen 2 ma 1st son, I was alys crying wen it happen but we were fine and beta afta all d treatmt in d hospital, continue breast feeding and morning sun is gud 2, u undress d baby and leave him wit diaper and stay under d sun light in d morning like 8am

You can also dissolve unripe pawpaw in water and keep drinking, about 3-5 tablespoons daily, d baby will suck it frm your breastmilk. It helped me then

PS Antibiotics is not given for jaundice oo. Maybe sth else was diagnosed with the jaundice. They use billi-light to break down d red blood cells, plenty breastfeeding to flush it out of the system thru urine and stools.

My baby had d same thing,we were admitted at 6days. His was soo high that he had blood transfusion to crash it. The docs couldn't fathom how he was still functioning normally, no fever, no seizures. I had never been so worried. We were discharged after 3days, he's 3months today. Laughs, plays, teething and weighing almost 7kg. Just to encourage you that all is well. God that started the good work of conception, pregnancy and delivery won't stop it now.

@Mrs afolabi, nothing will happen ur baby. Thank God u notice it in time. My son heard dsam issue but wen I called my doc, e said I shd buy original zinnat drugs(antibiotic) n I shd take him out in d morning hours from 8:30am to 10am, open his body to reciv d morning sun. But if der is much breeze u dnt expose him. I did exactly as e said n within two weeks my son was ok. If u re nt doing exclusive, glucose water work very fast, bcuz it aid dem to pass d jaundice tru urine.

He will be fine, I happen to be in d same ward at d hospital with a patient whose baby has same issue. D baby was place under d light I don't no WATS it's called, also given antibiotics after 3days d baby was discharged
