I know of a baby that had the same cough and catarrh due to this change in weather for 3 days. The baby was just 2 months old and the doctor didn't prescribe anything rather he said the baby should be continuously breastfed that he will be fine lo and behold on the 4th day he was fine. Since you are not on EBF the antibiotics should work fine along with a catarrh and cough drop.

He will be fine, the weather is not friendly to children now, pls always cover him and make sure you not bath him outside. Pls don't use fan for him. I wish him quick recovery IJMN.

Relax the antibiotic will clear it off n continue with vit c n steaming. Cover him up ..he will be fine
