My baby has cough, doctor gave us Vitamin C and Puriton. But the cough is worse and he vomits after sucking whenever he coughs. What can I give him?

I have same experience last two weeks. The vitamin C make her feel vomiting. But continue it will heal it or better still buy Amoxicillin.
