Blood clot can be experienced if you have heavy flow. There's a particular compound in your body that makes your blood flow freely during your period. But when there is too much blood than the compound there will be a clot. There are various reasons for heavy flow. As you have been advised take blood tonic after your flow to avoid being anaemic.

I have never experienced it but since it's not much, there's no need to worry. Just make sure you use blood tonic during and after your menses
