A man, Oyedele Nutai Joseph and his wife Elizabeth Joseph were arrested on Tuesday 18 by men of Ogun State police command for unlawfully invading Toyon High school in ere village with thugs to attack a teacher. Abel Thomas, the teacher beat up their son, Joshua Joseph who is a ss3 student of the school.

The suspects were arrested following a distress call received by the policemen at Ado Odo divisional headquarters from the school. This prompted the DPO to immediately swing into action with some other members of the force and went to the school to arrest the suspects.

Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the teacher "moderately corrected" the student who in turn went to inform his parents that he was beaten. His parents then took laws into their hands and descended on the teacher with thugs. They even damaged a car belonging to another teacher.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you think the parents went too far? What could they have done differently?

I would rather take my child to a school where they don't beat
