Eczema is common in babies and is often treatable. A good way to identify eczema is the appearance of dark, dry and flaky patches on your baby's skin. Within the months when your baby is experiencing this, there are several home remedies that serve as treatment such as:

Baths: Daily baths help to keep your baby's skin hydrated and reduce dryness which is one of the most popular triggers of eczema. Baths also help to destroy bacteria and prevent infections.

Moisturizers: Rich moisturizers help to prevent skin dryness and reduce itching sensations. Apply at least twice a day on your baby's skin immediately after a bath for optimal results.

Avoid Eczema Triggers: Prevent flare-ups by keeping away from scented soap and lotions, harsh detergents, perfumes and all cosmetics with fragrance. Also, avoid clothes with scratchy materials like wool and polyester.

Reduce scratching: The itchiness that eczema comes with can lead to infections so be sure to help your baby not scratch by wearing mittens and frequently cutting their fingernails.
