Blessing Robinson, breastfeeding is not 100 percent guaranteed. I have people who got pregnant even while exclusively breastfeeding, and even without their period returning after child birth. It is safer to use another form of contraception along side BF.

Nature designed Breastfeeding as a natural contraceptive. The high prolactin responsible for breast milk suppresses ovulation. But beware new mom, it is not 100% effective. You can still get pregnant so use another form of contraception at least a condom first before going for something more specific.

@Blessing17887, that does not work for everyone. Some people still ovulate despite they are yet to see their period. It's only few dat doesn't ovulate while breastfeeding. so it's best you don't take the risk

You can get pregnant whether you are breastfeeding or not.hormones differs so if you dont want to get pregnant either use a condom or go for a good birth control
