Question

Hello great mums, my baby is 2weeks plus bit her umbilical cord is still not detached I applied chlorxy - G gel but didn't work. I need help pls

U are to use spirit and cotton wool, u can also use a little hot towel on the umbilical cord

You are meant to stop using chloryxl gel after 7 days of opening. So use methylated spirit to clean every hour and it will drop in no time.

My baby's own fell on the 17th day. I used moko methylated spirit and cotton wool (though not every two hours d first few days after birth). I also heard that the medical personnel who cut the cord depends on d duration of it falling off...not sure though. So clean every two hours with original moko spirit and air it often

Chlorxy-G gel alone will not make it fall. You have to use original methylated spirit & cotton wool to clean it from the base to the tip (pls clean well & use as many cotton balls) every 2 hours. Then u can apply d gel after cleaning. Don't cover it up with diapers.

I used chlorxy G gel for my baby girl and hers fell off on the fifth day. Though I was advised not to cover the place with dipper or dress. I was asked to air it. Thereafter, I applied moko methylated spirit and cotton like three to four times daily. For better recommendations visit your pediatrician or certified nurse. It's well

Check If the spirit is original spirit if not it may not work

I used chlorxy G for my baby and b4 naming it fell off on its own. I applied once a day And afterwards I applied methylated spirit 2hrs interval as instructed by d nurse where I gave birth to my baby when d cord fell off. Maybe u should try it dat way or use only moko original methylated spirit or best option u see d doctor

Chlorxy-G gel is also effective for umbilical cord care, but from experience use of spirit and cotton wool is better if u can religiously clean every 2 hrs, but if lazy abt it d gel is to be applied morning & night. Application of gel however takes longer to drop the cord compare to spirit. So I advice u stop using the gel and start spirit cleaning as its taken too long.

DON'T APPLY ANY OTHER THING except methylated spirit by Moko(original) and make sure you clean with cotton wool every hour, no damping but clean hourly, it will detach within 3 - 5days. All the best
