Yea deeply painful....make sure dere is Vaseline blue seal on d nipple always... It works magic..mine affected my two nipples.

@ solayide..it is called sore nipple.90% moms get dat experience during breastfeeding... Endure n give it ur baby to suck and always apply Vaseline blue everytime on d nipple..it will disappear before 3 days.

It happened to me, just see a doctor, express the milk so it won't engorge. I was treated with antibiotics n vit c for the wound. Until now that nipple is no longer the same.
