However, if this is your hubby's language,u hv to b encouraging him a lot in ds messed up economy. Send him text when he's out to encourage him. fr sm men, its acts of service. Like doing his laundry, cooking his meals(not a maid), washing his undies,preparing his clothes,matcing colours n all. It dsnt make u a door mat,a slave or a maid. Ur ability to understand that that's what ur hubby interprets as love will liberate u n launch u into a marriage of abundant love.

We try to hv one meal(dinner) together so dt d bond remains. Me on d other hand. to show me love,biko buy me gift. #10 chocomilo means a lot to me o. Talkless of when he now buys sthg expensive. Chai,my head go dey spin or u take me out to a nice restaurant or u take me shopping. Nna ehm, I wee spend 5hours with u. Infct d whole day. My hubby had to understand this part of me. He used to think it has to b an expensve gift. nooo. Just #50 rite gala,my evening is done.

...stay awake after putting my son to sleep to be gisting with him & of course end with some nacking. It wasn't hard bfr our baby was born. But since I bcm a mother, it has bn difficult so one has to try n adjust. At times I notice wen I chase him away frm d kitchen,he feels offended,guilty conscience go weak me. I will now hv to go n sit with him in d sitting room n b gisting,watching TV together. He likes us to eat together frm d same plate. He interprets that as love too.

Ppl hv diff ways they understand love. U cant use ur own language fr someone else & vice versa. As fr d love languages, there are :1) Acts of Service 2) Words of affirmation 3) Gifts 4)Quality Time 5) physical touch. Everybody has two or three frm this list with the first one being dominant. u hv to know what ur husband interprets as love. Every body has a love language. Everybody has an emotional bank account. When the account is full, it is easy to withdraw love or fr him to gv u love from it. When it is almost red or empty, he has nothg to gv u. U r d one who does different gestures according to his love language in making dt account full,almost empty or totally depleted.

All well said but you make it seem like a maids chores. We are not slaves. Sweetheart, show love to your husband and he will reciprocate; showing love doesn't mean you have to wash his clothes or don't have freedom around him.....NO! you could help him sort his clothes out of love. Organize special outings, go on vacation, be committed to your home, show him love, don't nag him,etc
