@Rita20904, No. If you take cough syrup, it'll make your baby sleep for a while.

@Rita20904, cough syrup has sedatives. It will make you baby to sleep and confuse the uss scanner.

Hmmmm I took malaria and cough syrup without knowing I was pregnant, went for the first scan after i found out I was pregnant and I was tld it was just clotted blood in my womb, DAT I should do an evacuation even with all the pregnancy symptoms. Hmmmmmm tnx to God my doc. Adviced I should wait for two weeks den do anoda test to knw what next, only for the next scan to tell me DAT their is baby there and its growing well o. But my problem now is dat I find it difficult to take my prenatal drugs.

@doctor thanks. Am 30weeks and have been given sir. But there is dz injection they gave me. It 3 doses but I was told to take one today, next tomao and d last one on d 5th day. Dz is d second time am taking d injection. Pls wat is d injection meant for sir.

@Opetola, it is safe to take when you start feeling the movement of your baby. The drug of choice for preventing malaria in pregnancy is Tab fansidar.
