I personally got to know the gender of my baby three weeks before i gave birth to her,  I was having the same issues, but I didn't really mind.

It depends on the baby's position at the time,when I was preg With my son,I av to go for scan twice bcos of the gender,the first scan could nt see the gender,the doctor said its bcos of the baby's position, some babies are good at hiding their things lol...u can still go back but make sure the scan centre is a standard one
