If on formula maybe you need to check the instruction to ensure you are mixing with adequate water. Then give enough water to the baby.There is no need to worry

If on formula then you can think of constipation. If the baby is exclusively breastfed then it is not constipation. The abdominal muscles which an adult uses to poo is not yet in proper use in infants so straining for infants when about to poo or when pooing is normal
