Why is my baby's inner gum around the upper and the lower lips whitish and peeling?

Why is my baby's inner gum around the upper and the lower lips whitish and peeling?Please doctors and mums help a worried first time mum, my baby's inner gum around the upper and the lower lips is whitish and looks like it's peeling . What could it be ? I tried showing it to my doctor but he said it's nothing to worry about.

Clean his/her mouth with glycerin and cotton wool daily and give him nystatin drops to clear it from within. How old is ur child??
