Please I have an issue with my 4yrs daughter, she was given an injection on Saturday and an hour later she started complaining of pains around her laps and this made her not to walk very well. Since then I have been massaging with ice block and ori (Shea butter), but she's walking a little now but am still not Okay with the rate of improvement. Please assist me on what next to do?
You have to ascertain the injection site isn't swollen . If it is, you will need to take the child back to the hospital for better evaluation cos the swelling could form abscess. if no swelling you can give analgesics e. g paracetamol to reduce the pain. The child will recover with time. If limping persists, kindly take the child to the hospital.
