What are the necessary test to go for when trying to conceive?

Normally, your gynaecologist should be able to tell you which test to do based on your consultations. Your Gynaecologist might suggest a Sexually transmitted infections test, Genetic screening and you may get a Pap smear. Your doctor may ask you to take a urine test at home for luteinising hormone, or LH. This hormone shows up in high levels just before you ovulate. Finally, you may also have to Hysterosalpingogram (HSG), Transvaginal ultrasound, Hysteroscopy, Laparoscopy and blood test to check your levels of follicle-stimulating hormone, or FSH, which triggers your ovaries to prepare an egg for release each month.

You and your spouse needs test when trying to conceive because the woman may be okay while the challenge lies with the man. There are alot of tests available so it's better to see your doctor for evaluation and let him decide which one you would benefit from so as not to waste money on the tests. Cheers
There's no only one test. Your doctor may require you to do one or more tests
