Sugar shud be avoided till ur baby is a year. A pinch of salt, less than 1g is enuf so while preparing family food, consider ur less than a year baby if he's going to eat out of it. For sugar, u can use powdered dates fruit as sweetener, when he's a year, u can introduce honey and for salt, u can add ground crayfish depending on what u want to cook.
