I just have a few things to say, 87% of breastmilk is water. No drugs please. Have you decided it's exclusive breast feeding or mixed. Are you lactating well? If yes, continue breastfeeding. Formula can come in when its time to return to work. Patience and wisdom is what you should use. Do not quarrel. Don't feel shameful about being a mother, there's no one size fits all.

Please your baby is still tender to be taking drugs now if the baby eats well just as you have said there is no need for any multivitamins except your daughter recommended it please don't administer any drugs to your baby except it is given to you by the doctor

pls i beg u in d name of God. am not preaching wat i dont do.exclusive breast feeding is d best gift u can give ur baby unless d baby is sick of have an inborn error dat he doesnt tolerate breast milk. otherwise continue breastfeeding. try and educate ur mum inlaw on dat aspect of breastfeeding. and dont trust her alone wit baby cos she will give water in ur absent unless she is convinced o.

If you give your baby formula then you can give water too. If yiu breastfeed only,video dnt see the use for giving water too you can give your baby multivitamin (abidec ) but no glucose yet.

Please, try not follow your inlaw's advice. Your baby is 2 weeks old. All she needs now is breast milk. The first thing you have to note is that Breastmilk is 88 percent water .Mature milk contains water, fat, carbohydrates, protein, vitamins and minerals, amino acids, enzymes, and white cells and all the necessary immunity to help your baby fight diseases. Remain focus on exclusive breast feeding unless otherwise advice by your doctor  .
