My dear same thing happened to me for three months ad it was not menses.... I visited the doctor and she told me to make sure I empty one breast before giving my baby the next one ad I should rest very well ad take my multivitamins after doing all it stopped so u can try same.

Since it's bright red, I will advice you go for a scan to rule out possibility of retained products of conception!

It is suppose to stop around 6 weeks after delivery and before this time it is not suppose to be bright red(unless its menses), since you said you're 7 weeks+ it is better you go see your doctor/midwife to check if all is right. Best wishes
