It is a dangerous practice. Babies with jaundice should be treated and followed up by a paediatrician not a health worker, nurse etc. Jaundice can kill and cause severe brain damage with life long consequences like cerebral palsy, deafness, severe intellectual disability. Take jaundice with levity at your own risk

I don't have a child am just asking because have seen some health workers prescribe as a form of treatment and have read alots of research work that doesn't really see it as a form of treatment

Neonatal jaundice SHOULD BE TREATED AS AN EMERGENCY. PLEASE TAKE THE CHILD TO THE HOSPITAL IMMEDIATELY.
DO NOT GIVE ANTIBIOTICS TO A NEWBORN BABY WITH JAUNDICE WITHOUT A DOCTOR SEEING THE BABY OR CHECKING THE LEVEL OF THE JAUNDICE, SERUM BILIRUBIN. Do not self medicate.
