For feeding, most of the preterm babies won’t be able to suckle continuously, hence feeding will be via cup and spoon and baby is put to breast at least once or twice a day. As the baby gains more weight, and the doctors are now comfortable allowing baby to suckle continuously, mothers will be informed.
