Good day house, please urgent answer needed, I am 7 wks and 6days gone, can I take zobo?

Pls avoid it totally. My husband is researching on zobo and results so far reveals that zobo is an antifertility agent, causes fetal malformation (teratogenic) if the pregnancy stays, can abort early pregnancy and he is even working on extracting the active ingredients to use as contraceptive

Avoid it during early pregnancy..... But u can take it in ur last trimester and advisable you make it yourself..... Boils ur zobo... Blend different fruits add to it and drink without sugar.... Don't use artificial flavors pls

@Mayree, the ginger is not the problem but the hibiscus leaves itself that is an arbotifacient. My sis lost her 6weeks preg to it before. It is good to be informed

And i just googled it...research has it that it has some antioxidants that can interfere with hormonal activities...so it says it should not be consumed in the first trimester of pregnancy...and later said it MAY be safe after the first trimester...for me i would avoid totally if pregnant

Wow! Thans a lot for your responses! Honestly they are helpful...i rembr taking zobo with plenty ginger in my previous pregnancy...i later lost the pregnancy at 17weeks..maybe the zobo and other factors

Zobo isn't safe at early pregnancy, it can cause miscarriage.

Pls dont take zobo in early pregnancy. Hibiscus leaves use in preparing zobo is an arbotifacient (I.e can cause miscarriage). My sis once experience it ignorantly. Ask any herbal therapist and will confirm for you or google it yourself. Be safe mam.

Zobo is not good at early pregnancy especially whn u r not d one dat prepared it. Bc some uses Lemon grass, ginger and some spices dat is not healthy for a pregy woman. U can also reconfirm frm ur dr ok
