Jaundice is caused by accumulation of bilirubin due to immature liver. The best therapy is photo therapy I.e exposure of the baby to early morning sun. Ampiclox can be given if infection is suspected/confirmed through lab test. Also consistent breastfeeding helps in quick recovery.
