I think you can have sex at anytime during pregnancy except there is a medical reason not to. But since you spotted after the act, maybe you should refrain except your doctor okays it

You are not supposed to see blood during pregnancy... Like @Tee has advised, pregnant women should avoid coitus during the first trimester to prevent any eventuality.

Absolute bed rest for now, no stressful work. Avoid sex for now, maybe till you pass the 1st trimester. Meanwhile see your doctor to check you. He will probably request you do a scan in 2 weeks time.
