@Ayodeji15861, he is still much active... Bt d stooling have reduced and d color back to yellow, almost sha... But MA can zinc b given more than 10 days? Bcosi he has taken it for 10days

@bibys, u should give ORS and continue with d zinc and breastfeed him well but if there's no improvement within 2 days, u should see ur doctor especially if he or she is weak.

@Ayodeji15861, Tnx mama at 5mth 1wks he weighed 7kg and birth weight was 3.5kg we are on Ebf. But I am having a feeling e has reduced Bcos of teething. Stooling for a week and 5 days now despite d zinc oxide, bt yesterday e poo twice... And d poo is green

U ve tried, weldone. U can start solids with formula suitable for his age, then home made pap, slowly and patiently introduce home made food with no salt and no pepper for now e.g, mashed beans, egg yolk, moimoi and introduce other hone made food as he grows.

A baby should double his or her birth weight by 6 months and triple it by 12 months.

Feed your baby well. If you are doing exclusive you stick to it, and if you want to add food to your breastfeeding, it's OK. But exclusive is the best to 6months.
