@cutemum, Not all hand chewing is hunger o. If u keep offering the breast. He will keep taking it, he can't talk u know (lol) sometimes you just cuddle and sometimes you just leave him to do his thing once he's already fed. I realized some children are very active and since there's no activity for them, they take sucking as an activity. That's what I discovered in my son so now I just play with him instead of just offering breast all d time He will be 4 months in 3days time

Thank you all for your advice,@Mummy David,I also eat my normal food o aside from fluid, my son does not even cry but chews his hand like after ten minutes of breastfeeding and when I offer him the breast to suck, you need to see the way he struggles for it

@umoh, God bless you. Same thing with me o, I was told bit I insisted on EBF but wen I couldn't cope again I introduced formula wen she was 12wks that's last week Thurs and she slept like never before. And she didn't gain wait as I expected then, now am seeing changes.

sm cryingq is colic, sm crying heat,sm crying is attention Some sucking is not food, der is sthg called comfort sucking. Just observe and understand ur baby.

my dear, ur child is a boy. Trust me boys can suck!!! If you want to do exclusive, u have to eat very very well! Not taking fluids ordinary. U will lactate but d breastmilk Is not loaded with fats and nutrients. Let d fluids and pap be like water after food. Dont answer ppl dt leep saying drink pap,drink tea, if u drink pap 24 hours a day no food as an adult,will u be satisfied? So pls, eat very well, balanced diet nd now drink ur pap & tea ontop of ur meals. Meanwhile,no be every cry b hunger o

In as much is good to do EBF,but once ur little one isn't satisfied with just breast u can introduce Nan1 to him to avoid starving him...good luck
