2023 Marketing To Moms Conference: The Rise Of The Mom Economy

 Babymigo proudly introduced the maiden edition of "The Marketing To Mums Conference" on October 6, 2023, to celebrate motherhood and recognize the pivotal role of mothers in household decision-making. Themed "The Rise of The Mom Economy," this exclusive event aimed to inspire engaging and effective mom-centric campaigns, foster inclusive strategies across international borders, and expand B2B networks.

 

 

The event, a first of its kind, brought together a diverse assembly of attendees, including media agencies, brand managers, communication strategists, PR firms, and FMCGs. Grace Eyiolawi, Babymigo's Community And Engagement Officer, took the stage as the event's host. Kemi Olawoye, the Co-founder and CEO of Babymigo, inaugurated the conference and delivered a powerful introductory speech.

 

 

She emphasized the importance of crafting effective campaigns targeting the mom audience and shared Babymigo's ambitious goal of reaching over 10 million African parents by 2027. Additionally, Kemi unveiled two impactful initiatives: "30 Best Places for Moms to Work'' and the "Safer Moms'' campaign. The event was divided into two captivating sessions featuring experienced moderators and panels of entrepreneurs, communication strategists, brand managers, and PR executives.

 

 

The first session, moderated by Satira Osemudiamen, Principal Consultant and Founder of Satira Media, focused on "Building authentic connections; Crafting impactful campaigns." The panelists, Nene Bejide, Principal Consultant, Blanche Aigle Communications, Elizabeth Osho, Director of Communications, SoMe Solutions, and Oluwatosin David-Adeniji, Brand Manager Hollandia - Chivita Hollandia Ltd, underscored the significance of authenticity, engagement, and comprehensive market research in creating successful campaigns for mom-centric consumers.

 

 

The second session, moderated by the award-winning Presenter and Diction Coach Oludolapo Adewale, concentrated on "Launching and growing a mom-centric business." Thought leaders Itoro Ugorji, Founder of The Baby Lounge; Zuwaira Isah-Ikharo, Founder of Amal Botanicals, Adebola Amujo, Managing Director, AmuGOLD Global (Producers of Jimpo Ori); Oluwatoyin Onigbanjo, Founder, August Secrets and Blessing Adeniran, Founder, Bam Baby City shared invaluable insights on launching authentic mom-centered businesses, harnessing innovation as a strategic advantage, and leveraging the power of social media for mom-centric enterprises.

 

 

The event's Q&A session provided a unique opportunity for the audience to pick the brains of distinguished panelists seeking advice on fast-tracking their businesses. In her closing speech, Kemi Olawoye thanked the moderators, host, panelists, and the engaged audience for making the event memorable.
