Yes Paediatric Surgeons manage umbilical hernia. That does not mean that they are going to operate her now. But they should see and monitor and tell you if it is going to be conservative or operative management
Is every big navel umbilical hernia? If no how do you differentiate between a big navel and an umbilical hernia?
Please see a doctor preferably a paediatrician if you suspect that your child has umbilical hernia.
When are we supposed to stop pressing our baby navel with hot water?
Please DO NOT press navel with hot water as it is not good practice. If the area is still raw, clean with methylated spirit otherwise you do not have to do anything else.
Which drug can I use for a baby of 2weeks having navel pain?
There's no particular medication for colic. All you have to do is to rock your baby to calm him down. Colic normally resolve on its own after sometime, it's a phase and you shall soon by-pass it.
Please I just noticed blood coming out of my baby’s navel, please what should I do?
MOST bleeding in the first
week of life is DUE TO VITAMIN K
DEFICIENCY. PLS ALL BABIES MUST
RECEIVE AN INJECTION OF VITAMIN K
AFTER BIRTH. PLS ASK IF YOUR BABY
WAS GIVEN VIT K AND IF NO, PLS GO TO
HOSPITAL TO GET THE VIT K. It should
be sufficient to stop the bleeding. bleeding
can also be due to other issues like injury to
the cord, infection of the cord or inherited
bleeding disorders. Please see a doctor if
a your baby is till spotting blood from the
cord despite being given Vitamin K
injection. THIS IS IMPORTANT, BABY'S
BLOOD VOLUME IS SMALL AND IS LESS
THAN A WHOLE BOTTLE OF COKE (35CL)
AND THEY CAN EASILY LOSE ALL. ALL
BLEEDING SHOULD BE CHECKED AT THE
HOSPITAL TO BE SURE ALL IS WELL.
My baby of 1 year and 4 months has naval but not too big but his stomach normally makes noise like a rushing wind and whenever it...
You will need to see a paediatrician for a proper evaluation of the stomach discomfort/pain.

'It is not unusual for babies stomach to make noise, it depends on the kind of noise. It could just be passage of gas in the stomach. If the noise is not associated with vomiting or any kind of pains, then their is nothing to worry about. But see a paediatrician if the noise is accompanied with any sign of pain or discomfort.
My baby is 8 weeks old but his navel is partially out and I'm afraid it might not be properly covered. What do you advice I use?
Some babies may have what we called delay separation of the cord. It may also be delayed in cases of infection of the cord. Kindly see a Paediatrician to ensure that there are no other issues.
Please what else can be applied on a baby's naval after the fall of the umbilical cord.
Once the cord has fallen, just clean with mentholated spirit if still raw or yet to heal completely or become like normal skin.....No need for any special care once it has healed fully and become like normal skin .
Is it okay to massage a baby's navel with hot water? Or what else can one do to heal the navel?
No, it is not okay to massage the navel with hot water as it is not a good practice. If the area is still raw, clean with methylated spirit otherwise you do not have to do anything else.

During pregnancy, the umbilical cord supplies nutrients and oxygen to your developing baby. After birth, the umbilical cord is no longer needed — so it's clamped and snipped. This leaves behind a short stump. During the healing process, it's normal to see a little blood near the stump. Much like a scab, the cord stump might bleed a little when it falls off. After the stump falls off there will be a small wound. It may take between seven days and 10 days for the area to heal completely . You may see a little blood spot on your baby's nappy. However, contact your baby's doctor if the umbilical area oozes pus, the surrounding skin becomes red and swollen, or the area develops a pink moist bump. These could be signs of an umbilical cord infection. Prompt treatment is needed to stop the infection from spreading.

Since this is already 2 months old baby, This might be a sign of an underlying problem, such an infection or not. So to be on the safer side, you'll need to see a paediatrician as soon as possible

I noticed my 2days old baby's navel smells it's yet to fall off. How best do I care for it to avoid the smell pending when it fall...
I recommend cord care with the use of Chlorhexdine Gel applied once daily on the cord for 7 days or till the cord drops. Where Chlorhexidine for umbilical cord care is not available, use of Methylated spirit applied several times a day say every 4 hours or at every diaper change is the second best".
