Is it true that a pregnant woman should not sleep on same bed with her child or children

When I was pregnant with my second child I use to sleep with my daughter at midnight she will always have fever and she keep vomiting I took her to the hospital they treated her but the vomiting and fever keeps on then I decided not to sleep with her since then till I gave birth to my second child she did not vomit or have fever again
