I had C section last week Tuesday, how long before I can start taking normal water because have been taking hot / warm water?

When I had mine I drank warm water for 6 weeks though nobody told me how long I should drink warm water. The only thing my gynaecologist told me was I should abstain from strenuous activities and lifting heavy things till after 6 weeks so I applied same time to my water intake. I bathed hot water till after 3 months and I still do occasionally.
