My daughter is 8months and does not put things in her mouth like most babies. She crawls well. Pulls herself up to stand and is an active child. But when she picks things, she just plays with it without putting it in her mouth. This has also made it difficult for her to self-feed. She won't put fruits or hand foods in her mouth. I want to know if there's a way to encourage her to do this.
Since your baby can reach
out to collect things then she is expected to put things in the mouth by nine months but if still can't do that by nine months, then their is a need to consult a paediatric neurologist or developmental paediatrician.
