What's the causes and best treatments for a 1-week old baby crying more every time?
Dr Oki Emmanuel
I will say don't just assume colic. There are other reasons why a baby cries excessively. Is the baby having enough feeds? Any other symptom? Is the baby comsolable? It is best to get the baby reviewed by a doctor.
Dr Aina Johnson
Infacol helps to relieve the discomfort though it doesn't work for every baby. Excessive crying could also be as a result of baby's expression of lack of familiarity with the new experience around or just gas passing through the intestines.
Dr Aina Johnson
Colic is an excessive crying from assumed gas discomfort but it is not pain and should not be present all day long. If present all day kindly see your paediatrician for thorough evaluation and don't assume colic.
