When is the appropriate age to start using a toothbrush for a baby? How best can I clean the babies mouth cos he always cries every morning when I use a soft towel with warm water and a pinch of salt. Aged 1year 5months plus.
He is not yet on a family diet at his age should I be worried?
He eats just little and stop, but takes pap, cereal mixed with aged milk and I can't access the complementary feeding guide online. Pls, help.
-Start brushing your baby's teeth as soon as they show up in the mouth to remove plaque. Use age-appropriate toothbrush and toothpaste to brush your baby's teeth. Please use just a smear of toothpaste for children under 3 years and a pea-sized amount for children 3 - 6 years. Children ages three years and under should use toothpaste with a fluoride level of about 1,000ppm (parts per million). After three years of age, children should use toothpaste with a fluoride level of 1,350-1,500ppm.

You can use toothbrush as soon as the first tooth is cut. Use just a smear of toothpaste suitable for a one year old. The age range is normally written on the pack of the toothpaste and the brush.
